1 # lean ground beef or turkey
2 garlic cloves, minced
2T Chili Powder
2 tsp. cumin
28oz. can crushed tomatoes
15 oz. can red kidney beans, rinsed/drained
1 sweet onion
1/4 c. canned diced chilies (or pamentos)
2T tomato paste
- Brown meat and garlic in nonstick skillet; drain off fat.
- Stir well with chili powder and cumin, until well coated.
- Mix in: tomatoes, beans, onion, chili's, and paste [in a slow cooker].
- Cover and cook 4-5 hours; or cook on stovetop.
